These oral and print texts rearticulate the myth surrounding Manuela Sáenz as the archetypical Bolivarian and, as such, a true foundational figure of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. Through this discourse, members of the PSUV reinterpret Sáenz's image within a contemporary political landscape, inviting Venezuelans to emulate her love and devotion toward Bolívar by demonstrating similar love and devotion toward the Bolivarian Revolution.
